Rangjung Drupchen
Rangjung Drupchen is one of the most well known ceremonies all over the world especially in Bhutan. During this period of year, the atmosphere is filled with melodious sounds for twenty four hours throughout ten days of its conduction. People describe Rangjung as “heaven on earth” for its astonishing and breathtaking night view. People of all ages eagerly wait for the great festival which only comes once a year and rush to witness it with great excitement. The festival originated hundred years ago from the great treasure discoverer (His Holiness Kyabje Dudjom Jigdrel Yeshey Dorje) and is still led by his grandson (His Eminence Kyabje Dungse Garab Dorje Rinpoche).
Take in the spectacular aerial view of the valley as you approach Paro International Airport. Assigned tour guide and driver will greet tourists on arrival at the airport and drive to the hotel.
The highlight of the trip is the hike to the Tiger’s Nest. Tourists will drive up to the base of the monastery and a two hour hike awaits. Refreshment will be served on the way up at the cafeteria where tourists can take in a close up view of the Tiger’s Nest perched on a cliff. After the short break, continue the hike and on arrival at the monastery, tourists will visit the shrine. After the exploration, tourists will descend back to the cafeteria where lunch is served. After lunch, tourists will descend back to the base and onwards to the hotel.

To reach Bumthang, one can take the option to drive from Rangjung to Bumthang or fly from Youngphula to Bumthang
After breakfast, you will explore our neighboring palace, Wangdichhoeling, a past home to the 2nd King, and now home to the auspicious prayer wheels next door. Heading up valley, you will take in the grand Kurjey Lhakhang – considered one of Bhutan’s most auspicious monuments, that was once the resting place of Guru Rimpoche, and Jambay Lhakhang – home to the early winter festivals that draw thousands of Bhutanese for their annual blessings. Heading back into town and across the Bumthang Chhu, you will enjoy a visit to the sin alleviating Tamshing Monastery followed by quick visits to the valleys unique cottage industries – Red Panda Brewery, Bumthang Cheese/Dairy Facility and the Bumthang Distillery, home to numerous distinctive spirits.

Drive to Phobjikha Valley early in the morning and overnight at Phobjikha
It will be a five hour drive back to the capital city. In the afternoon tourists will visit Kuensel Phodrang nature park and the Folk Heritage Museum. Overnight at the hotel.
Continue sightseeing in Thimphu, and towards the evening, drive to Paro and explore around Paro for the night view.
After breakfast, drive to Paro international airport for your onward flight. The representative of our company will see off and bid farewell.
